Meet Our Medical Staff
Our fellowship trained, Board Certified Pediatric Urologists have dedicated their careers to the treatment of infants and children. Our pediatric specialized staff provides the highest quality care to your child through our specialty training, pediatric experience and personal interests in the care of children. Knowing it is difficult to wait for answers, we strive to offer you an appointment at one of our clinics as quickly as the same day if necessary.

Dr. Peter D. Furness lll, MD, FAAP, FACS
Peter D. Furness III, MD is a Board Certified Pediatric Urologist. He received his pediatric specialty urology training in Chicago by completing a Pediatric Urology Fellowship and a Renal Transplant Fellowship in 1999 at Northwestern University Medical School/Children’s Memorial Hospital. Before specializing 100% in the care of children, he began his medical training at Thomas Jefferson University followed by a two year general surgery internship and a four year urology residency at Pennsylvania State University in Hershey. He has been practicing Pediatric Urology in Colorado for 23 years and has been the President of RMPU since 2020. Dr Furness started his pediatric career at The Children’s Hospital Colorado in 1999 where he served as The Chairman of The Department of Pediatric Urology. He joined RMPU in 2007 to be able to provide more hands on patient care. Dr. Furness enjoys mountain biking and skiing with his four sons.
Dr. Job K. Chacko, MD
Job K. Chacko, MD received his medical training at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed his urology residency at the University of Colorado in Denver. After this he continued his training and completed a fellowship in pediatric urology at the A.I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware. He is board certified by the American Board of Urology with subspecialty certification in pediatric urology. Dr. Chacko enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children.
Deborah Steinke, RN, BSN
Deborah Steinke, RN, BSN received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Regis University in Denver, Colorado. She worked at The Children’s Hospital in for 17 years. She served as the Clinical Coordinator on the Neurotrauma Rehab Unit and Team Leader/Clinical Nurse IV in the Day Surgery department. She has extensive experience caring for a variety of perioperative patients and has a special interest in pediatric urology. She joined Rocky Mountain Pediatric Urology in January 2008.
Kallie Keith, PA-C
Welcome our new PA.
Denise Ulep, SA-C
Denise began her career as a surgical technologist in the Army. After her service, she went on to work at Children’s Hospital and Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children. As a Pediatric Urology Coordinator, she was instrumental in making the surgical process run smoothly. Denise obtained her Surgical Assistant Certification in 2014 and came to work with Rocky Mountain Pediatric Urology exclusively in August of that year. Her knowledge and efficiency in the operating room is beyond compare and we are grateful to have her in our practice.
